总体来讲，本次阅读难度较大，三篇文章中有一篇是考过的旧题即The conquest of Malaria in Italy。本次雅思考试涉及到的题型有摘要填空，判断（是非及对错），段落信息配对，单选，句子配对。其中判断题和摘要填空的比重比较大。建议烤鸭们平时多练习高频题型。

文章大意：
前半部分说全球饥饿的问题，特别穷的农民得到的都是转基因的种子，不能再次种植，因此他们更需要的是traditional seeds。
后半部分说食物从非洲进口更加环保。很多人认为在欧洲直接种植比从非洲进口更环保。但是其实不是这样的。如果在英国当地种，成本更高、带来的环境影响会更大。

文章大意：
大致内容：文章讲的是在意大利疟疾的传播，开始大家都认为这是一种空气 传播的疾病，没人想到是insects在搞鬼，直到后来一个意大利的学者把活人拉到疟疾重灾区不让蚊子咬，这人却不得疟疾，终于找到病源了。后来在第四段奎宁被研制出来，治好了不少人，但是有很多人怀疑这东西而不使用。后来的研究进入近代研究洛克菲勒中心，直到现在疟疾还能杀死很多人。
